Extended Address Format

Extended address format could be used in console with MPEG-TS Analyzer. It allows to specify detailed parameters for tuning DVB transponders.

Extended Address Format

dvb://#options

General options:

• adapter=0: number of the DVB adapter (starting from 0)
• device=0: number of the device in the adapter (starting from 0)

DVB-S/S2 Options

• type=s: adapter type: s, s2
• tp=frequency:polarization:symbolrate: transponder parameters
  • frequency: transponder frequency in MHz
  • polarization: h for horizontal, v for vertical, l for left circular, r for right circular
  • symbolrate: symbol rate in kS/s

Optional parameters:

• modulation: modulation type: qpsk, 8psk, 16apsk, 32apsk
• lof1: first local oscillator frequency in MHz
• lof2: second local oscillator frequency in MHz
• slof: switch frequency in MHz between first and second local oscillator
• tone: (optional flag) 22kHz tone signal
• lnb_sharing: (optional flag) enables LNB sharing between multiple adapters. Disables LNB voltage control
• diseqc: DiSEqC command or input number to control external switches
• diseqc_mode: DiSEqC mode: 1.0, 1.1, toneburst, cmd. Default is 1.0
• uni_scr: unicable slot number
• uni_mode: unicable version: 1 or 2
• uni_frequency: unicable user band frequency in kHz
• uni_pos: unicable position number: a, b, c, or d
• uni_pin: unicable user band PIN code
• rolloff: roll-off factor: 35, 25, or 20
• stream_id: multistream transmissions

DVB-T/T2/ISDB-T/ATSC Options

• type=t: adapter type: t, t2, isdbt, atsc
• frequency: transponder frequency in MHz or Hz

Optional parameters:

• bandwidth: channel bandwidth: 8mhz, 7mhz, or 6mhz. Some adapters require this parameter to be set explicitly, try bandwidth=8mhz if you have issues with automatic detection
• guardinterval: guard interval: 1/32, 1/16, 1/8, 1/4, 1/128, 19/128, 19/256, pn420, pn595, pn945
• transmitmode: transmission mode: 2k, 8k, 4k, 1k, 16k, 32k
• hierarchy: hierarchy mode: none, 1, 2, 4
• stream_id: multistream transmissions

DVB-C Options

• type=c: for DVB-C transponders
• frequency: transponder frequency in MHz or Hz
• symbolrate: symbol rate in kS/s

Optional parameters:

• modulation: modulation type: qam16, qam32, qam64, qam128, qam256, qam512, qam1024, qam2048, qam4096

Launching femon tool

To launch the femon tool with the specified extended address format, use the following command:

astra --femon 'dvb://#adapter=0&type=s2&tp=11044:V:43200'

Quotes are required around the address to prevent shell interpretation of special characters.
